Dina Shafaqouj

Dina holds a BS in chemical engineering, and she is an expert in trainers’ development, Community Dialogue Design and Facilitation,  NGOs Institutional Assessments and Institutional capacity building, governance, Community Programs Design, and Business Development Services locally, regionally and internationally.

 Dina possesses certificates from several international organizations: she is a Global Learning Partners trainer of trainers and Certified Dialogue Education Teacher, a master trainer in the International Labor Organization’s Start and Improve Your Business management training program, a trainer with the Empretec integrated capacity-building program of UNCTAD, a certified Empowerment Workshop trainer and coach with the Empowerment Institute USA, and Active Participation Method Expert. 


Dina brings more than 20 years’ experience in communities and professionals development in Jordan and the region. Worked  on promoting community engagement and community mobilization developing strong partnerships within and between communities, Government and nongovernmental organizations through designing and and implementing participatory community engagement methodologies and tools.

Participatory Active Community Engagement (PACE )Methodology Expert, leading the implementation team of  first PACE implementation in Jordan, during the last 15 years, Dina worked on training PACE practitioners in Jordan and the region on Mobilization tools and activities included community surveys, formation of gender-balanced groups representing the community, community-run analysis, prioritization of community needs, facilitation of community meetings,  design and implementation of community priority projects through the mobilization of local resources in collaboration with the local government. 

Dina worked at the Jordan River Foundation (JRF), one of the leading NGOs in Jordan and the MENA region for 23 years, where she established the Training and Consultancy Division that supported in transferring JRF developmental experience in the region, the latest position was the  Director of  Programs Division,  Overseeing JRF  backbones Programs  Community Empowerment Program, Child safety Program and JRF branches.
